Postcards from Budapest

Budapest and Danube river

One word - fantastic! Budapest was one of those experiences when you don't expect a lot but everything pays back with so much more!

To begin with, I had two weeks of spring holiday and went to Budapest. The city amazed me by the variaty it offers - architecture, beautiful bank of Danube river, hills and all nature around. People there are so laid-back, sitting just on the constuction of the bridges or actually anywhere they can find a bench or place on the ground in the parks.

Budapest is never asleep! Ruin pubs offer completely different nightlife experience that I never seen before. Also, the city itself at night is pretty as well as all the historical buildings are light up. Just magical!

I will definitely be back there one day!

Szimpla Kert ruin pub. The bike hanging out above your head is not weird at all, right?

Christmas in spring? Yup! It's Christmas museum in Szentendre

From Budapest it's possible to reach a lot of other cities. Bratislava is a great example. It's like a short run-away. Cozy old town and castles makes you wander around. The city is not big as well but there is a lot you can remember from there.

Devin Castle

How did they build this mini tower in medieval times???
